The Hope Academy “Lighthouse” System

The Lighthouse System is designed to recognize and reward positive behavior, academic excellence, and character development throughout the school year. Students are divided into four houses, each representing core values that guide our community. Through weekly competitions and challenges, students earn points for their house while developing important life skills.

Just as lighthouses guide ships safely to shore, our four houses guide students toward becoming the best versions of themselves. Students are sorted into houses at the beginning of their time at Hope Academy, creating a community where they'll grow, compete, and support one another throughout their years here. Each lighthouse represents core values that help students navigate their educational journey and life beyond school.

Teachers award points throughout the day for both individual and group accomplishments. The more you contribute positively to our school community, the more points your house earns! Points accumulate weekly and contribute to your house's standing in the competition.

Recognition is a powerful tool that goes beyond simple praise. When students are recognized for their efforts, achievements, and positive character traits, it reinforces the behaviors and values we want to see flourish in our school community. Each week the student who earned the most points is recognized with “The Beacon of Hope”.

The Lighthouse System creates a culture where every positive action is noticed and celebrated. This consistent recognition helps students understand that their choices matter and that they have the power to make a positive impact every single day.
